Insurance & Payment
With Intention Counseling is a private pay provider and does not bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus fully on your goals, without restrictions from insurance companies on session length, frequency, or type of therapy.

If you wish to use your insurance benefits, we can provide a superbill. A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information insurance companies require for out-of-network reimbursement. The process is simple:
1 - Pay for your session at the time of service.
2 - I provide you with a superbill each month (or at your request).
3 - Submit the superbill to your insurance company.
4 - If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company may reimburse you directly.

I encourage you to call your insurance provider beforehand to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits.

Payment is collected at the time of each session.

Good Faith Estimate
Beginning January 1, 2022, the federal “No Surprises Act” requires all health care providers to give clients a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the cost of services. This law is designed to increase transparency and help clients understand potential costs of care before beginning services.
Because therapy is a highly individualized process, the total cost of treatment will vary depending on your goals, preferences, and frequency of sessions. Some clients work toward short-term symptom relief, while others choose to continue longer-term for ongoing growth, support, or “tune-ups” when needed. Ultimately, you decide when to conclude therapy.

At With Intention Counseling, I provide a verbal Good Faith Estimate during your consultation and a written estimate through the secure SimplePractice portal. Current clients also receive an updated GFE upon request or as treatment plans evolve.

Example Cost Ranges
Weekly sessions for 12 months (50 sessions + intake): $7,650
Bi-weekly sessions for 12 months (25 sessions + intake): $3,900
Monthly sessions for 12 months (12 sessions + intake): $1,950
